COLLEGIANS PRIVACY POLICY
Collegians Rugby League Football Club Pty Ltd. (“Collegians”, “ us”, “we”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy, keeping your information safe, ensuring the security of your data and protect any information that you provide us.
Collegians is required to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (“Privacy Act”). This includes a requirement to comply with the terms of the Australian Privacy Principles (“APP”) whish are set out in the Privacy Act.
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOLD
This Privacy Policy describes the purpose for which Collegians may collect, use and disclose your personal information held by the Club.
This policy applies to all Club owned legal entities and venues.
Collegians may collect and store personal information about you depending on your interactions with us. This may include your name, residential and mailing address, contact details such as your mobile number and/or email address, date of birth, image, social media information, and a government issued identification.
The Club may also monitor your use of goods and services within our venues, including—but not limited to—point-of-sale purchases, spending activity, and gaming play. Personal information may also be collected from visitors, guests, and other individuals engaging with the Club.
SENSITIVE INFORMATION
It may be necessary in some circumstances for us to collect some forms of sensitive information about you, for example, in order to provide specific services to you. Sensitive information includes information about a person’s disability, political options, health, religious or philosophical beliefs, financial Information, biometric information used for automated biometric verification or identification purpose, biometric templates and criminal record. We will only collect sensitive information where:
- we have obtained your consent (which may be by way of form specific to a business function or engagement or appropriate signage).
- we are required to do so under a law that applies to our business; or
- we are otherwise permitted by law to do so.
THIRD PARTY WEBSITES AND APPLICATIONS
Please be aware that if you access a website or application of a third party when using one of our goods or services via our website, your personal information will be dealt with in accordance with that party’s Privacy Policy. We suggest that you review the Privacy Policy of any linked site that you may access from our website before disclosing your personal information.
ANONYMITY
In some instance, you may desire to remain anonymous. We will make every effort to assist with any such request, however we are not required to provide this option if:
- it is impracticable for us to deal with unidentified individuals; or
- we are required or authorised by law or a court or tribunal order to deal with identified individuals
You should advise us if you do not wish to be identified and wish to remain anonymous. This may, however, limit the products and services (e.g. gaming services) that we can offer you.

We generally collect information directly from you when you use our products and services, when you visit our premises or via business arrangements.

When you visit our websites, social media platforms or use any of our other online resources, we may use cookies, single pixels tags and similar tracking technologies (including a range of tools provided by third parties such as Meta and Google) to collect and use your personal information to:
- provide better online experiences;
- deliver more relevant and targeted advertising; or
- develop reports on matters such as usage trends and visitation data
The information collected and used may include your name and contact details, such as a mobile number and/or email address; Internet Protocol (IP) address; domain name; browser type; date and time of your request; your internet service, mobile carrier, operating system, and your online behaviour, such as information on the pages you visit, links you click, features you use, how and when you interact with the services or the content, images and advertisements you select.
Most internet browsers and mobile devices can be set to inform you when tracking technologies are being used or sent to your device. They also provide you with the option of refusing the use of tracking technologies, however, this may negatively impact the display or function of certain areas or features of our services.
SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Collegians will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold about you and monitor that it is accurate up-to-date and, when the personal information is used or disclosed, relevant to the purpose for which the information is being used or disclosed.
Your personal information is held on secure servers or in storage located in controlled environments.
Collegians employees and service providers are required to maintain the confidentiality of any personal information held by us.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We collect, hold, use and disclose personal information to provide you with goods and services, to manage your membership to our rewards program to meet legislative requirements, where it is our legitimate interest to do so and to continue to improve the goods and services we provide to you.
Sometimes we are required to share information that we hold about you with government regulators or law enforcement bodies. This may include information obtained through forms, CCTV or facial recognition surveillance when you visit our premises. It may also include your name, contact details, date of birth, Proof of Identification information, other images of you and information about any exclusions or other restriction on access to premises that applies to you.
Collegians uses, and in some instances shares, personal information (including in some cases, sensitive information) for reasons including:
- identification – verify your age, identify you and process your membership application or renewal
- provision of requested products or services and benefits gained in relation to that product or service;
- analyse usage of food, beverage and gaming services offered by the club;
- contact member and guests to advertise and market events, activities, opportunities, offers and the goods and services provided by The Club including without limitation with respect to food and beverage, promotions, entertainments, sporting events, KENO, TAB and venue hire when we have gained consent.
- send you notices as required by the Clubs Constitution
- analyse use of food, beverage and ancillary services offered by the Club
- provide any benefits you can become entitled to in relation to the product or services you have received or purchased from the Club;
- analyse website and other online resource usage;
- respond to customer enquiries, complaints, questions; comments or requests;
- conduct our internal business and management process; for example accounting or auditing process;
- for any other purpose that would reasonably be expected by you as a result of disclosing your information to the Club or by being a Club Member;
- complying to obligation that we may have under laws that apply to our business or to meet reasonable request from regulatory bodies which regulate our business, such as preparing player activity statement, monitoring responsible provision of gambling services in our Club, comply with the requirements under the Anti Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism laws and other regulatory bodies;
THIRD PARTY DISCLOSURE
The Club may share your information with other parties who provide services to us, including organisations, agents, partners and contractors that assist us with providing our business processes and products and services.
Your information remains under Collegians control at all times and employees an other persons who may have access to your information are bound by confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
All members information that has expired including temporary membership information is retained/ disposed of as required by Section 31 of the Registered Clubs Act 1976.
CHANGES TO THIS STATEMENT
Collegians reserves the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy from time to time. We will publish any changes on the Club website.
OPT OUT
You may opt out of receiving direct marketing communications from the Club at any time, by contacting the club or by selecting ‘opt out’ located at the bottom of any email or SMS marketing communication.
